Can I take the program with a family member?

Research supports that, when families engage in their own treatment process, positive outcomes are significantly higher for those with substance use disorder. We recognize that the entire family system is impacted and requires healing. While we recommend that all family members engage in their own healing process, we follow evidence-based best practices and provide separate groups for each member attending.

What do I need to participate in the FamiliesFIRST program?

In order to have a great experience, we kindly ask that you have the following available to you:

  • An internet-capable device suitable for viewing the course (ex. laptop or desktop) including speakers & video capabilities.
  • A stable internet connection for the duration of the program.
  • A private space where you will not be disturbed during sessions.
How do I know if the FamiliesFIRST program is right for me?

You will receive a free consultation with a member of our clinical team to determine if the Families FIRST program is right for you.

What if the FamiliesFIRST program isn't right for me?

Legacy West Healing also provides individual, couples, and family counselling. If it is determined that an individual is not suitable for participation, they will be provided with additional resources and opportunities for alternative support.

A support plan may be implemented prior to a participant entering the program or during the program to facilitate continued participation.

What if I'm not good with computers?

A participant’s online abilities should never be a barrier to accessing services. Please know that all of our systems are user friendly. If you need extra support please let us know. We’re here to help!
